This is our Tailgate Anti-theft lock. Tacoma tailgate are known for being easily stolen and are valuable items. This product can help prevent theft/make it more difficult for thieves to steal.
This is made out of PETG and engineered to withstand tuggs from the tailgate. We improved strength by using brass threads for our two screws used to attach the plate to the main C piece.
Included:
1x Tailgate Lock (C piece and plate)
2x Screws
Install:
Tool: 1.5mm Allen Key
1. slide the tailgate out just enough to put the C piece and align it with the tailgate insert. (Assure the arrows on both pieces are facing towards the right tailight)
2. put tailgate back on and screw the plate on
Optional:
3. slide lock to the left side to make it easier to spin the plate forward
4. When in your preferred position, slide the lock to the right side
5. You’re done! Now you can feel better about accidentally leaving your tailgate unlocked.
Disclaimer: This lock does not make it impossible to take the tailgate, instead it makes it a harder process and serves as a deterrent.
