Sail Kit for Walker Bay 8 or 10 Plastic Dinghy

Walker Bay sailors asked us to design a simpler sail kit (i.e., simpler than the Walker Bay OEM sail kit), with a sail that can be raised and lowered without taking down the mast.  So that's what we did and here it is:  A lateen sail that is raised and lowered with a halyard rope.   There are just two lines:  The halyard and the sheet.  Nice and simple and it works great.  The reception among Walker Bay dinghy owners has been great.

Using the drop-down menus choose your boat size you have (8 foot long or 10 foot long) and the sail size your want (45 square feet or 55 square feet).  Note that the price changes when you change the sail size.   The larger sail is for those you want to go faster -- particularly helpful when winds are light, but plenty strong enough for strong winds.   Both sail sizes have a 10-foot boom.  The 45 is also 10-feet tall, whereas the 55 is a bit over 12-feet tall.   The all-white sail in the photos above is a 55, shown next to a 6-ft-tall man standing.  The sails shown on the boats in the water are both 45s.

We don't have a drop-down menus for choosing sail color scheme, but you can choose any of our Sailboats To Go nylon sail color schemes if you message us immediately before or immediately after ordering and request your favorite.   Otherwise, we will send either the red/yellow/blue or the red/yellow/blue/white.  We won't chase you to find out which you want if you don't take the initiative.
